( AN INNOVATION LAB IN STANDERTON, MPUMALANGA )
Innovalanga is the innovation lab of Saturated Africa — a hub where entrepreneurs access the physical and digital resources they need to build and grow. We equip young innovators with the tools, skills and networks to thrive in fast-changing economies.
INNOVALANGA
( WHO WE ARE )
Saturated Africa is an emerging digital, innovation and business development agency headquartered in Marshalltown, Johannesburg, with its innovation lab, Innovalanga, in Standerton. We build ecosystems where creativity, technology and entrepreneurship intersect.
( OUR VALUES )
( 01 )
Ubuntu & Family
We are of the communities we serve. Programmes are designed around local realities — township, farm and mining communities — and everyone who walks through our doors is treated as part of the family.
( 02 )
Integrity & Transparency
We hold public and partner funds in trust. Clear reporting, open books and a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, corruption and conflicts of interest are non-negotiable.
( 03 )
Innovation & Brilliance
We back the unproven idea and the untested founder. Place-based innovation, globally relevant — from prototyping in Standerton to markets across Southern Africa.
( 04 )
Professionalism & Courtesy
Ethical courtesy in every interaction, with funders, partners and innovators alike. We do what we say, on time, to standard.
( OUR PROGRAMMES )
PROGRAMMES IN ACTION
( WHAT WE DO )
An integrated suite of incubation, skills, enterprise-support and advisory services — inclusive by design, prioritising youth, women, persons living with disabilities, entrepreneurs and innovators.
( OUR SERVICES )
From a first idea to a registered, revenue-generating business — digital and physical incubation, accredited training, mentorship, market access and investor introductions, all under one roof.
( PARTNERS & FUNDERS )
WHO WE BUILD WITH
No single organisation can build an inclusive innovation economy alone. Over the past two years we have deliberately assembled a network of national agencies, training providers and ecosystem enablers — and we are extending it locally and internationally.
Technical support and innovation-funding pathways for incubated ventures, and alignment with national innovation instruments.
Alignment of our programmes with national innovation policy, priorities and reporting frameworks.
Cloud and AI infrastructure, business optimisation software, digital skills training and operational capacity development.
Software-development talent pipeline, digital literacy training, and Microsoft-aligned technical certification.
Community mobilisation, outreach and local-government access across our operating districts.
( OUR PARTNERS )
Current partners span national innovation agencies, government departments, district municipalities, global technology providers and community-led training organisations.

( More than a lab )
We build ecosystems where creativity, technology and entrepreneurship intersect.
Our mission is to equip young innovators and entrepreneurs with the tools, resources and networks they need to thrive in fast-changing economies.
Our vision is a sustainable, inclusive Africa where digital innovation and cultural creativity drive economic growth, job creation and community resilience. With deep roots in the Gert Sibande District of Mpumalanga, our programmes respond to local realities while connecting entrepreneurs to regional and international opportunity. We believe in place-based innovation that is globally relevant.
( What We Believe )
We don’t run workshops for the sake of workshops. Every programme is measured by what an entrepreneur can do — and earn — at the end of it.
( 01 )
Place-based innovation
Ideas built where people live. Programmes are designed around township, farm and mining realities — then connected to regional and international markets.
( 02 )
Inclusive by design
Youth, women, persons living with disabilities, entrepreneurs and innovators are the starting point of every programme, not an afterthought.
( 03 )
Skills before slogans
Accredited, practical training in the fields South Africa is actually short of — from Python and cybersecurity to agri-tech, robotics and AI.
( 04 )
Partnership over procurement
No single organisation builds an ecosystem alone. We convene agencies, municipalities, training providers and technology partners around each venture.
HOW WE
WORK?
( From recruitment to market. )
We meet entrepreneurs where they are — in Sakhile, in Standerton, on a phone in a farming community — and walk with them to the point of trading.
We partner with the people building the ecosystem: national agencies, municipalities, training providers, technology companies and the community organisations that know their people best.
1. Recruit
Open calls through SAYEC, municipal partners and Spana Online. Screening, selection and onboarding.
2. Train
Accredited MICT SETA programmes and short courses in AI, robotics, VR, 3D printing, drones and agri-tech.
3. Incubate
Mentorship matching, prototyping facilities, business development support and progress analytics.
4. Connect
Market access, IP protection, investor roundtables and pitch events.
( Backed by national agencies, municipalities and global technology partners. )
( Partners )
We work with the Technology Innovation Agency, the Department of Science, Technology & Innovation, district municipalities and technology partners to turn national innovation policy into programmes that reach the ground.
