HOW IT WORKS
One Journey, Four Stages
Every entrepreneur who comes through Innovalanga moves along the same path — from being found, to being trained, to being funded, to being connected.
You can enter at any stage. Some arrive with an idea and no business; others arrive already trading and needing capital or market access.
Stages
Discover. Develop. Fund. Scale.
One pipeline, from first
contact to trading
business.
01.
Discover — innovation scouting, community outreach, innovation challenges, and events and showcases.
02.
Develop — bootcamps and workshops, digital skills training, the entrepreneurship curriculum, and readiness assessments.
03.
Fund — seed funding, grant support, investor readiness, and business development support.
04.
Scale — mentorship and coaching, market access, network and ecosystem, and the alumni programme.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Eligibility, intakes, cost and accreditation — the questions we get asked most about joining an Innovalanga programme.
Who can apply to an Innovalanga programme?
Our programmes are open to youth, women, persons living with disabilities, entrepreneurs and innovators. You do not need a registered company, a business plan or a prior qualification — the skills programmes start at foundational level.
What does it cost?
There are no programme fees for selected participants. Where access to a device or connectivity is a barrier, Innovalanga Labs and the SAYEC Centre provide both.
Are the programmes accredited?
Innovalanga is currently undergoing accreditation with MICT SETA for four skills programmes: Python Developer, Frontend Designer / Developer, Cybersecurity Defender and New Venture Creation. Accreditation status is in progress, and duration and NQF level will be confirmed on completion of the QCTO / MICT SETA process.
When is the next intake?
Intakes are announced through Spana Online, the SAYEC Centre and our municipal partners. Call the programmes line on 072 629 8641 or email info@innovalanga.co.za to be told when the next one opens.
Do I have to be in Standerton?

Can I join if I already have a business?
Yes. The journey has four stages and you can enter at any of them. Established ventures usually come in at Fund or Scale — seed funding, investor readiness, market access and mentorship.
What happens after I apply?
You will be contacted for a short screening conversation and a readiness assessment, so we can place you at the right stage of the journey. Bring your ID to that meeting.
